July 30th, 2002 (Montreal) - Magis I.T.
links VoIP to 1.1 million+ Canadian Businesses |
|
Magis Information Technology (MIT) today announced
the addition of Singapore based Mediaring's
VoizPhone, allowing VoIP (PC-to-phone) access
to MIT's database of over 1.1 million Canadian
businesses. Users from around the world can
simply click on any telephone number in their
database and use Mediaring's patented technology
to turn their PC into a telephone, saving money
on long distance calls as well.
"MIT has focused on being a conduit for users
looking for more information, providing web
and email links, as well as a host of other
information for users", says Chairman and CEO
Steve Mitchell. "Other yellow page offerings
charge high prices for web and email links thus
not providing many links to users, and even
though they are most often run by telephone
companies, they have not managed to merge the
two. Adding a clickable telephone number was
a natural for us."
MIT's Electronic Business Directory (http://www.FinditinCanada.Ca)
provide information on every Canadian business,
and using its Advanced Interpretive Find Engine,
allows for users to quickly and easily find
what they are looking for. According MIT's CTO
Ord Millar, MIT's proprietary technology delivers
search results 20 times faster than competing
engines, with greater flexibility and precision.
MIT expects 750 million business listings will
be viewed this year, opening doors from around
the world to Canadian businesses and services.
With the addition of Mediaring's VoizPhone to
the MIT database, accessing these companies
just got step better.
